What MorningRead is
MorningRead delivers one carefully chosen research paper each morning, based on your research interests and publication history. Instead of an endless feed, you get a single relevant paper with an AI summary written for your level of expertise.
The goal is a better reading habit: a few focused minutes with one paper in place of scrolling past a hundred.
How recommendations work
- Your profile. Connect your ORCID or OpenAlex profile, or choose topics yourself. We read your publications for the keywords and themes that define your interests.
- Daily curation. Each day we search open literature databases (PubMed, Europe PMC, arXiv) for recent papers that match your interests and rank them by relevance.
- AI summaries. Each paper comes with a short summary written for the expertise level you choose, focused on the section you care about most: methods, results, discussion, or conclusions.
- Your library. Save papers to come back to, mark the ones you have read, and add your own by DOI, PubMed ID, or PDF.

Privacy and data
- You can try MorningRead as a guest, with no account. A guest's reading history stays in that browser.
- With an account, your profile, saved papers, and reading history are kept with your account so they follow you between the web and the iPhone app.
- From ORCID or OpenAlex we keep your ID and the keywords drawn from your publications.
- PDFs you upload are read for their title and text and are not stored on our servers; the file stays in your browser.
